Good morning, Furrriends!
This is Duncan's human here. And I have to say, there is no human that can compete with a Westie snuggle. I don't care how good looking a person is; how kind; or how successful. Humans are emotional Roombas. They can't offer the consistency that a Westie does. Last night, Duncan and Beanie were both curled up next to me and I thought, wow, people don't bond like this. What a beautiful thing, to be in a pack, have the support and companionship it offers. And I am part of that pack :-). I've seen Duncan grow to love his mom, they can sleep with foreheads touching or legs hanging over and no one complains. They don't block my half of the bed from each other, they share it. And Beanie looks out for Duncan when he is super-friendly with strange dogs; she goes into guard mode. No one can mess with him when she's around. That kind of chivalry has sort of dwindled over the years. People can learn a lot if they observe dogs.
